About us

OUR MISSION

We provide clean and potable water through off-grid water filtration devices to communities in need.

OUR VISION

To be one of the world's leading organizations bringing innovation, technology, and communities together to create a better world for our generation and the ones to come.

OUR STORY

In 2017, in the midst of the water crisis suffered by Puerto Rico due to severe droughts and the destruction of the aqueduct system by the destructive Hurricane Maria, several young minds, with the guidance and support of Enactus Puerto Rico, came together to find a solution for the multiple water problems that affect not only Puerto Rico but the whole world. We realized that over 1.5 billion people worldwide lack access to clean water for their basic needs and over 80% of the water available for human consumption is polluted.

Remora arises with the aim of ending the global water crisis, taking into account that bodies of water present many more problems than just solid waste and plastic. Bacteria, sewage, industrial waste, oil, microplastics, chemical pollutants, and biological waste are other major pollutants in bodies of water.

In 2020 we launched our first product, the Remora machine, a device capable of filtering water from any water source; making it potable while cleaning the body of water of contaminants and improving its water quality. Today, Remora aims to provide clean water to communities around the world and protect our bodies of water through unique products focused on water sanitation.
